29 Weeks

I stay behind the camera for a reason. I do not like pictures of myself. I'm very awkward in front of the camera. It's summer so it's hot and humid. Take those three things and add on the fact that I feel quite large and uncomfortable at 29 weeks pregnant and well, it's kind of a recipe for disaster.

After losing a baby last November, I couldn't wait to become pregnant again. My husband and I felt the need to have another child in our family, so basically, because we know life is so unpredictable and we don't know what hand we'll be dealt, I need to love myself and enjoy this pregnancy, no matter how uncomfortable I am physically or in front of the camera. God promised that if we gave our hearts and lives to him that he would be there for us through it all. He never promised that our life on Earth would be easy. So I'm celebrating my life right now, in this moment. My very patient husband, son and I went yesterday evening to do some maternity pictures. It's very difficult trying to be your own photographer, but I really enjoy doing my own editing, to my own taste and I must admit, of the ones we got, I'm very pleased with them. Sure I would have liked to mix it up a bit and been more creative, but you can't get funky with different angles and ideas, without seeing it through the lens, at least that's how it is for me!! Although my husband is not a photographer by any means, I think he did a fantastic job doing my individual shots!! Thanks babe. <3

So, here are some images I wanted to share with you of my family. Landon is getting ready to start Pre School in only 2 weeks, so of course I had to get a few "back to school" shots with him :) And I just happened to get a great shot of my husband (which, like me, does not like being in front of the camera) too, so I had to post it as well!!

So This post is completely random. It has a little bit of everything!!

I have many potential clients wanting spring sessions and as long as I have received your session fee, your date is being held however, I do schedule on a first come, first served basis!!

5 - As you all know, my husband and I have been "building" a house for over a year now! Well, I'm proud to say that it's almost move - in - able! We sub-contracted our home thinking it would be less expensive. But now that it's almost done, I'm not so sure that paying the extra $$ wouldn't have been worth it! It's been very stressful! Anyhow, we've been working hard trying to get the last bits finished so I wanted to share a few iphone snapshots of our progress!

A New Baby On the Way. . .

Bun in the Oven

This little bun in the oven will be arriving very soon! And boy is he going to be sooo handsome. Just look at his parents! That baby's got GREAT genetics! We originally had a maternity session planned but we ended up having to cancel it since her hubby had to work so she emails me and says her doctor only gives her about a week or so before they think the baby will come so we did an impromptu urban maternity session! And boy what fun we had!! We walked so much that day, I thought her little man may make his appearance that day! I can't wait to see the little guy and do his newborn pictures!!

Beautiful Miracle. . .

I had the pleasure of photographing this 10 day old sweetie pie this evening and her beautiful parents! I think Miss K. was the most cooperative newborn I've ever had! Well, mommy and daddy, here's you a little sneak peek at what's to come! Thanks so much for having me at your beautiful home today. I really enjoyed my evening with your family! I forgot to have you sign a release form. Are you all ok with me using these pictures on my website and with advertising?? She's just too gorgeous not to be a little model :) Let me know what you think!

Another Miracle from God on the way!

I had a BLAST today at this session. This is of a very good friend of mine! She's having her second little boy! *And boy is she a hott momma* Her husband is quite the comedian and had me laughing the whole time! Anyways, Jen - I had a GREAT time today! I hope you like these! I'm actually almost finished! I may get the whole session uploaded tonight! I'll email you when I'm done!!
