Hi Everyone!! I've been thinking a lot lately about offering a Basic Photography Workshop for moms (Called MWAC (Moms With A Camera) Photography Workshop) and would like your opinion on it! It would only be open to moms that want to better their every day snapshots of their kids and family. You would not have to have an expensive DSLR camera, most of you have point and shoot cameras so that's what we'd be focusing on. This would not get into the manual settings or overwhelming technical terms. Let's face it, most of you don't have time to do that and you just want to learn how to make your regular photos better, right?! This workshop would not be available to photographers due to the fact that this is a Workshop for MWAC, not photographers with semi pro or pro cameras! I want to show moms how to take better pictures of their family, not put my self out of a job ;)
Here's been my thoughts on what the workshop would include::
*A 2.5 hour workshop with me
*Would cover lighting, exposure, backlight, Posing (or lack of posing :)) angles, changing your point of view, Finding the Beauty in everyday life, and more!
*It would cover our lunch
*A goodie bag filled with a photography book, photography goodies and secrets!
*After the "teaching" part of the class, I'd put you in the "field" and let you experiment with what you've learned and you'd be able to ask questions and get my opinion.
*I'd get opinions on where the class would take place. We could do it at my home, then I could open up my in home studio to everyone, Or it could be held in Charleston to allow for those fun, color pop type shots that I love so well.
*The Cost would be right around $100-$115 per person
*I would limit the class to probably 8 Moms

I would absolutely love it!!! My pics never turn out the way I hope, so I would love the opportunity to learn more!!!
